Cause of Loss: Hurricane Michael

Customer: Insurance company that insures a large nursing home franchise 

Location: Panama City, Florida

Overview:

GLOBAL Disaster Solutions, LLC was retained to inspect three separate nursing homes damaged by Hurricane Michael. The location referenced in this case study sustained significant wind and water damage. The hurricane-force winds ripped the metal roofing system off of the three-story building and blew out many of the windows, allowing a significant amount of rainwater to enter the building and damage the interior. We worked alongside the insurance adjuster and mitigation contractor in an effort to establish a proper scope of repair and a subsequent building repair estimate that was agreed upon by all involved parties.
